How It Works

Choose our Plant Health monitoring service, and we will develop a flight plan to fly over your fields.

Once our unmanned aircraft collects images of your crops, the images are processed and analyzed.

A Plant Health report can be submitted to you within 24 hours, or you can be given access to online analysis tools.

The Results

A 5-acre cornfield was flown at an altitude of 200 feet where the UAV collected 62 georeferenced images. The UAV flew for less than 5 minutes to collect all of the images. The images were then loaded into the analysis software and processed within 2.5 hours.

The images taken by our unmanned aircraft were processed during which distortion was removed and the individual photos were stitched together to create a georeferenced mosaic.

Each image contains latitude, longitude, and altitude in order to properly process and stitch all of the images.

Using the VARI algorithm, the RGB (color) images were processed to display the plant health across the inspected cornfield. The green areas indicate the best plant health, while the red areas indicate the worst plant health.

The Plant Health results assist with determining where growth issues exist which can direct the farmer to the exact location in the field for a hands on investigation of the plants.
